Total length of the pendant is 2 1/2". The blue kyanite stone is 1 5/8" long by 7/8" wide and 1/4" thick. The agate is 7/8" square and 1/4" thick. The settings, hinge and bale are all sterling silver; the stones come
from South America; and the pendant was hand-crafted in
Brazil.
The top agate looks much more blue than it does in
this picture. What appears as "brown" is actually clear with the opaque
bands of light and dark blue. It is very interesting in itself.
The play of lines between the vertical kyanite and the diagonal agate,
brings even more interest to this piece. |
