The flat side of the stone is 2 3/8" long (although it sits at an angle rather than straight down). The widest point is 1" wide. And the stone is 1/4" thick. The setting and bale are sterling silver; the stone is from Brazil; and
the setting is hand-crafted in
Brazil. My first thought when I saw this piece was--"watermelon slice". I believe it is because of the shape and how the black inclusions look like watermelon seeds. It is just such a unique piece, I couldn't resist it. |
